Dr. Koch graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville with a degree in Animal Sciences. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University in Alabama in 1975. He has been practicing in Sarasota for over three decades and he is the owner of the brand new facility of Tuttle Animal Medical Clinic.
Dr. Koch is a member of the Complementary & Alternative Veterinary Medicine Discussion List. The discussion list includes Human Doctors and Veterinarians world wide that are interested in combining the best of conventional and alternative medicine (Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Herbal Medicine & Nutritional Supplements). Members constantly share their knowledge and experience with other doctors in the network, communicating via email.
Dr. Koch's specialty is treating breeds such as Boston Terriers and English Bulldogs. He has performed many c-sections and other breed specific surgeries over the years. His clinic hosts the Annual English Bulldog Parade in Sarasota since 2004, which benefits the Tampa Bay Bulldog Club. In his spare time, Dr. Koch is a Formula 1 fan and the proud owner of a 1989 Porsche.
Dr. Koch is FEMA certified in DART - Disaster Area Response Team - and received a series of certifications in ICS courses for disaster relief.
